Maybe it’s time to solve your pain with a new method…

Are you in constant pain? Maybe it’s a neck ache or a headache. But for some reason, you can’t seem to figure out the problem. If you feel like you have been treated for what seems like everything but still can’t seem to feel better, you could be taking the wrong approach and should try something new. Many problems within the body can be taken care of by treating the upper cervical region of your body.

Where is the Upper Cervical Region?

According to Upper Cervical Care, the upper cervical region focuses on the top two bones in the spine: the Atlas, which holds up the brain, and the Axis, which the head and Atlas pivot around. The neck has the most mobility, making it the most susceptible to injury.

The upper cervical region of the body connects to the nerve system that allows the brain to communicate with the rest of the body, also known as the brainstem. The brainstem flows through these important top two bones in the spine, but if one of them becomes misaligned, serious repercussions can occur.

A misalignment, also called an upper cervical subluxation, can squeeze down on the brain stem, which will interfere with the mental healing process and cause the body to malfunction or shut down. Adjusting these misalignments can remove any interference with the brainstem, causing the body to heal itself, as it should.

But, here’s the problem…

Only one-third of the nerves in the spine produce pain when they are pinched. That means that there are two-third of the nerves in the spine that can be effected without symptoms. You may have a subluxation and have no knowledge of it.

Many doctors are looking for diseases, so they may not find any misalignments, hence, you may be mistreated for a misaligned spine.

There is a solution: your chiropractor will go after the cause of the ailment and go directly to the source: the subluxation!

What if the pain isn’t in my neck or head?

A misalignment as small as one millimeter can cause asthma, reflux, and heart problems. There are many other problem areas that can be treated through upper cervical care. Some are obvious such as the spine, head or neck. Other areas in the body can be effected if there is a misalignment in your upper cervical region.

If you’re feeling pain in the following areas, check with your chiropractor. The issue could be solved through upper cervical treatment.

  • Shoulders
  • Arms
  • Hands
  • Lower back
  • Hips
  • Knees

Some other less-obvious ailments could be solved through the same process, such as

  • Poor circulation
  • Asthma or seizures
  • Dizziness
  • Sensitive teeth
  • Acid reflux
  • Low energy
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Seizures

Dr. Raymond Damadian, the inventor of the MRI, has treated a very famous former NFL Quarterback for a misalignment in his spine. Jim McMahon, who was concussed many times throughout his career, was suffering from memory loss and severe migraines. When Dr. Damadian and his brother-in-law, Dr. Dave Terry, treated McMahon, they noticed a misalignment in his spine and treated it right away.
“If fluid gets obstructed and backs up, you get symptoms of pressure, numbness, loss of vision, and ultimately, people end up in wheelchairs,” Damadian said. You can read the full story here.
If you’re experiencing any of these problems and cannot find a solution, check with your chiropractor.
